We, the community of St. Ignatius School, in the tradition of Mother Marie Rose and St. Ignatius of Loyola, provide a faith-centered Catholic education guiding God’s children toward building a just and compassionate world.

What a delight to celebrate All Hallows Eve with our annual Halloween Parade in the gym! Many of our students are incredibly creative in their costume design. It was great to see so many parents in attendance. Please be mindful to only post photos of just your students on social media platforms out of respect for students’ families that have requested their child’s photo not be included in media posts.
All Saints Day Mass: Our third grade class led us through our All Saints Day Mass. Fr. San talked with the students about the newest Catholic saint, Carlo Acutus, during this homily with the students encouraging each of them to find ways to use their gifts and talents for the Glory of God. As we move through the month of November, may we actively live the Beatitudes and follow the examples of our favorite saints.
Learning, Growing, Serving: Our kindergarten class made Saint banners celebrating our most famous Catholic Saints. Our kindergarten students learned about the states of matter in science experimenting with homemade slime. In PE our 6th grade students used strategy in this version of hop, paper, scissors. Our 7th graders experimented with erosion control in their hands-on lab this week. Our 8th graders began their service work in our school by helping 4th graders with math, playing with the preschool students, and putting up our family group collages around the school. Service learning develops our students commitment to building a just and compassionate world for all.
Turkey Bingo: Our 21st Annual Turkey Bingo is coming up on Saturday, November 23rd. This year, you can purchase tickets for this adults only event online through our Greater Giving page. Tickets are selling already and seating is limited. If you plan to attend, buy your tickets early to secure your spot and be seated in the gym space!
We will ask families to sell a minimum of six Turkey Bingo online Raffle tickets per family. Students making their goal of selling six online raffle tickets will be entered into a raffle to pick a prize during the two weeks leading up to the event- November 12-22. For every six raffle tickets a student sells, they will receive a Free Dress Pass.

As we remember our dearly departed this month, may we find comfort in the promise of the resurrection and life everlasting. “If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God,” Colossians 3:1.
Peace be with you.

Principal
