Greetings St. Ignatius Families,

Our students had a grand time in Family Groups this week as they worked together to create and construct turkey hideouts! Take a look at some of the creative ways they were able to hide their turkeys in constructed shelters.

Serving, Learning, Growing: Our kindergarten class was absolutely thrilled to prepare the Transition Lunches this week. They even got to meet the director when she picked up the lunches for delivery! The kindergartners brought in and delivered food to the St. Vincent DePaul pantry in the parish offices for their service partner work.

Our first graders spent time exploring math ten-frames. The second graders explored arrays in math creating an ‘array city.’ The third graders are studying about why animals migrate. The fifth graders painted their hand-drawn, from memory, world maps. The sixth graders are studying about cell structure including making models of parts of a cell. The seventh graders studied river systems with a hands-on activity where they recreated young, old, and mature rivers in the sand. Finally, our middle school elective for mural making created a theme poster for our hallway, reminding us of the important work of peacemaking.

As we reflect on our many blessings this month, may we remember the words of Paul in his letter to the Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Peace be with you.

Principal
