Greetings St. Ignatius Families,

Mass: This week, our second and fourth grade classes partnered to lead our Mass honoring the great work the Holy Names Sisters have done over the decades educating generations of students here at St. Ignatius School. We will host another Mass next week led by our 1st and 8th graders. Please attend if you are able to do so.

Accreditation Visit: Next week an Accreditation Visiting Team will be on our campus Tuesday-Thursday to see our school in action. The Accreditation Visiting Team’s role is to experience our strengths and affirm our identified goals from our Self-Study report which includes an Educational Improvement Plan (EIP). The Visiting Team will present their report to our whole staff next Thursday afternoon, after which time we can begin planning for implementation of our Educational Improvement Plan (EIP). They will attend our school Mass on Wednesday. As always, parents are invited to our school Mass. If you are available to attend next week’s school Mass, it would be a great way to show our visitors the wonderful parent support our school benefits from.  As you may recall from our September Ignatian, our EIP includes the following goals:

Thank you all for your support of our school through this valuable accreditation process.

Serving, Learning, & Growing: Our students are learning by leaps and bounds! Our kindergarten students sang happy birthday to our Blessed Mother Marie Rose and learned about their five senses through making slime. Our first and fifth grade students spent time reading together. The second graders tackled number bonds as they learn their addition math facts.  Our third grade students learned to add and subtract large numbers with regrouping. The fourth graders learned about St. John Bosco. The fifth graders made mosaic crosses out of legos. In our middle school, our sixth graders learned about the impact of famous hispanic figures this month. The seventh graders explored Ignatian contemplation through Mark 4:35-41 when Jesus calms the storm. In science our eighth graders studied acceleration through a model car lab. May our students continue to develop eager minds joyfully!

Donations can be dropped off at the school office or sent with your child to class throughout October. Thank you for your generosity!

Pastini Dine Out: Mark your calendars for our first dine out this year- Pastini on Division on Wednesday, October 23rd. For this dine-out, customers must mention St. Ignatius School when ordering for our dine out fundraiser. Thank you for your support!

C.A.S.E. Training: We will host our final fall initial in person C.A.S.E. (Creating A Safe Environment) training this Wednesday, October 22nd from 6:00-8:00 PM. All volunteers must be up-to-date on annual C.A.S.E training modules and new volunteers must take the initial in person training. If you wish to attend the training this Wednesday, October 22nd, sign up through this link: C.A.S.E. Training Wed. 10/22/25.

Benefit Concert - Tickets selling fast!

Benefit Concert Flyer.jpg

We’re excited to announce that our entire parish community is coming together for a major initiative: the “**Under One Roof” Capital Campaign**. Dillion Hall has faithfully served our community for many years—but its roof has reached the end of its life and must be replaced in the summer of 2026. At the same time, our gym’s scoreboard is no longer functional or repairable, and also needs to be replaced.

Undertaking both of these essential projects requires significant resources. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to install a new roof and a much-needed scoreboard—investments that will preserve and improve spaces we use and cherish year-round.

To help meet this goal, we’re thrilled to host a special benefit event this December: Patrick Lamb’s Charlie Brown Christmas Concert. All proceeds will go directly to the “Under One Roof” Capital Campaign.

🎟️ Tickets are on sale now!! Space is limited, and this festive concert is expected to sell out quickly—so don’t wait to reserve your seats! tickettomato.com/event/9653
