The St. Ignatius Parent Association is the main community building and fundraising support group of the school. All parents of St. Ignatius students are members of the St. Ignatius Parent Association. The Parent Association sponsors activities including Back-to-School events, Jog a-thon, Turkey Bingo, auction, Catholic Schools Week events, new parent information sessions, teacher appreciation and community outreach.
The Parent Association holds quarterly General Meetings and all parents are encouraged to attend. Monthly newsletters, volunteer opportunities, announcements in the school Ignatian email on Fridays are other ways to learn more about opportunities to get involved.
The Parent Association works in conjunction with the School Advisory Council to align activities and resources to the needs and desires of the school and participate as the school voice to the greater St. Ignatius parish. The Parent Association is working with the SAC team particularly in the area of Family Engagement as it relates to the strategic mission of the school.
The Parent Association welcomes the participation, feedback and support of each family as they are best able to participate.
The primary purpose of the Parent Association, in conjunction with the St. Ignatius School Advisory Council, is to support a modern Catholic education, help build a sense of community, and assist the school financially through various fundraising activities.
